What it does
- Each refrigerator has a recorder with a display, mounted on the outside, and two PT100 probes inside: one in the buffer bottle, which reproduces the temperature of the product, and one free in the air, which immediately shows openings and faults.
- Readings are taken every 10 minutes and exceeding the thresholds set, for example 2-8 °C, generates a notification on your smartphone: at night and on closing days too.
- The display shows the two temperatures in real time: a visual check remains possible without opening the refrigerator and without a phone.
- Each recorder keeps up to 10,000 measurements on board, exportable in CSV or PDF, and retransmits them if the connection was lost.
- The contact on the door reports every opening: by cross-checking door and temperature you can tell a badly closed door from a refrigerator fault.
- Two temperature and humidity sensors watch over the room and the shelves holding medicines to be kept below 25 °C.
- History, charts and data export for internal checks and inspections are available from a smartphone and from a PC.
For a different number of refrigerators, freezers, temperature-controlled cabinets or more rooms, probes of a different type, if in the pharmacy or the surgery you cannot use the network and a 4G gateway is needed, for premises on several floors: tell us the characteristics of your premises from the contact section and we will propose the correct configuration together with the quotation.

How it is installed
Gateway. Compact indoor unit (IP30, operation from -20 to +50 °C): on a desk, on the wall or on the ceiling with the supplied plate, in the back room or in the office, high up and neither behind the refrigerators nor inside metal cabinets. USB-C 5 V power supply with an ordinary 2 A adapter, network connection with an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.
Recorders with display. Outside the refrigerator, on the wall next to the appliance with wall plugs and screws, vertical and with the display below eye level, as the manufacturer indicates for readability. The recorder is IP65 and runs on the two batteries supplied or, permanently, from a 5 V USB-C outlet.
Probes and buffer bottle. The two PT100 probes are connected to the two connectors at the base of the recorder; the cable, 1.5-2 m long, enters the refrigerator through the door seal or through the cable gland, where fitted. One probe is slipped into the buffer bottle after removing the small plug inside the cap: the bottle goes on a middle shelf, among the packs. The other probe stays free in the air, secured to the shelf with a clip or a cable tie, away from the walls and from the evaporator.
Door contacts and room sensors. Magnetic contact on the outside of the door, on the side opposite the hinges: sensor on the body of the refrigerator, magnet on the door, with the marked sides facing each other, no more than 20 mm apart and with less than 20 mm of offset. Fixed with double-sided tape on a clean, dry surface (full adhesion after 24 hours) or with screws. Room sensors on the wall, away from metal parts and heat sources: one in the refrigerator area, one by the medicine shelves.
Configuration. Over NFC with a smartphone and the manufacturer's free app: name of each refrigerator, reading interval, minimum and maximum thresholds for each probe. The gateway is configured from a browser. No cables and no paid software are needed.
Documentation included. Written installation guide with the position of the probes and buffer bottles in the refrigerator, mounting of the door contacts and the power-up sequence, and initial configuration of thresholds and intervals based on the products stored as stated when ordering.

Before you order
Is an internet connection needed?
It is needed at the point where the gateway is installed: a network socket or the Wi-Fi coverage of the premises. The sensors do not use Wi-Fi, they talk to the gateway by radio. If you cannot or do not want to use the network of the pharmacy or of the surgery, the version with a 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, less than 1 GB of traffic per month). You choose it when ordering.
Does the signal get out of the refrigerator? And if the refrigerators are in different rooms?
The recorder with the radio sits outside the refrigerator: only the probes are inside, so the shielding of the appliance does not matter. Inside a building the range depends on walls and floor slabs: the gateway goes in a central position. For a pharmacy, a surgery or a ward on one floor the compact gateway is adequate. For premises on many floors, with thick walls or several blocks, choose the «large building» variant: semi-industrial IP65 gateway, with more range and able to be powered over PoE.
Does it work with any refrigerator or freezer?
Yes: professional refrigerators for medicines, laboratory refrigerators, vaccine cabinets, freezers. The probes measure from -40 to +125 °C with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C in the cold range. No work is done on the appliance: you only have to pass two thin cables through the seal or the cable gland. The refrigerators are not included.
Are the recordings of use for inspections?
The recorders are declared compliant with the EN 12830 standard on temperature recorders for the storage of temperature-sensitive products. Each recorder keeps 10,000 measurements and exports the data in CSV and PDF; the history stays available on the portal. The probe calibration certificate from an accredited laboratory is not included: if your procedure requires it, tell us from the contact section.
I have more or fewer than 4 refrigerators
Among the product options you will find the 2 and 8 refrigerator sizes: every extra refrigerator requires a recorder, two probes, a buffer bottle and a door contact; gateway and platform stay the same. For different compositions write to us from the contact section stating the number and type of appliances and rooms: we will send you the composition and the quotation for the adapted kit.
Battery life
Recorders with display: over 2.7 years declared with two probes; where there is a socket nearby they can be powered from USB-C and the batteries stay as a backup. Door contacts: about 5 years. Room sensors: up to 10 years with one reading every 10 minutes. The batteries are lithium and replaceable; the charge level is visible in the app.
Where is the data consulted and are there any fees?
In the manufacturer's app and portal, from smartphone and PC, with charts, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. Where management software or a supervision system for the premises is present, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included.
What happens if the power or the internet goes down?
The recorders are battery powered: they keep measuring, showing the temperatures on the display and storing up to 10,000 measurements, which they retransmit when the connection comes back. The gateway, on the other hand, switches off with the mains: for the alarm of a night-time blackout to reach your phone, gateway and router have to be kept on a UPS, or you choose the 4G gateway powered by a UPS.
Is an electrician or a refrigeration engineer needed?
No. Recorders, contacts and sensors are battery powered and are fixed with screws or double-sided tape; the probes enter through the seal without drilling the appliance. The gateway is powered from a 5 V USB-C outlet.
Degree of protection
Recorders IP65, probes IP67, room sensors IP67. The door contacts are IP20, for indoor use: that is why they are mounted on the outside of the refrigerator, never in the cold compartment. The compact gateway is IP30.
