What it does
- Two controllers with 8 outputs, installed in the floodlight panel, drive the contactors of the lighting lines: up to 16 independent circuits, for example two switch-on groups per pitch plus the paths and the car park.
- Each pitch has its own wireless button. One press switches the floodlights of that pitch on for the time set, then they switch off by themselves: no floodlights left on at the end of the evening.
- The light sensor outside measures the natural illuminance: above the threshold set, the switch-on request is ignored, below the threshold it is carried out.
- From the app the office switches each pitch on and off remotely, sets general switch-off times and sees which floodlights are on at that moment.
- Two temperature and humidity sensors in the changing rooms warn when the temperature drops towards zero, before the pipes and the boiler freeze.
- Two leak sensors in the showers and a 3 m sensing cable in the irrigation pump room report water on the floor with an immediate notification.
- The history of switch-ons, temperatures and alarms can be consulted from a smartphone and from a PC.

How it is installed
Gateway. On a wall or on a pole, on the club house on the side of the pitches, high up and with the antenna vertical. IP65 protection, operation from -40 to +70 °C. Power supply with the power unit included, to be kept indoors, or via PoE from the network cable; connection with an Ethernet cable or the club Wi-Fi. The stated range is up to 2 km in an urban area and 15 km in open country: the pitches of a sports centre fall within it with a wide margin.
Floodlight controllers. On a DIN rail or on the wall, in a small enclosure next to the floodlight panel, sheltered from rain and damp; operation from -20 to +60 °C. 230 V power supply. Each output is a contact rated 10 A on a resistive load and 5 A on an inductive or capacitive load, with a maximum of 16 A in total: the floodlights are always driven through a contactor, whose coil the output pilots. Work to be carried out with the main switch open, by an electrician. If the panel is in a metal cabinet, the controller goes in a plastic enclosure outside the cabinet, so as not to shield the radio.
Light sensor and pitchside buttons. Light sensor on a pole or on a wall with the clamp, at a point never in shade and not reached by the light of the floodlights; the round window of the sensing element must look at the sky. Buttons fixed with screws or double-sided tape at the entrance to each pitch. Attention: the buttons are IP30, for indoor use. They go under a canopy, inside the dugout with the benches or in a plastic box with a door, never exposed to the rain.
Changing rooms, showers and pump room. Temperature and humidity sensors on the wall with two screws, away from radiators, hairdryers and external doors; they are IP67 and withstand steam. Leak sensors placed flat on the floor at the point where the water pools first, out of the spray of the showers: they trip with 0.5 mm of water. In the pump room the sensing cable is laid on the floor along the perimeter of the pumps or wrapped around the pipes, fixed with clips or cable ties, never with glue or metal parts; it is 3 m long and cannot be extended. The connectors of the cable stay dry.
Configuration. Via NFC with a smartphone and the manufacturer's free app: names of the pitches and the circuits, light threshold, reading intervals, frost threshold. The gateway is configured from a browser; on the gateway the rules that link the buttons, the light sensor and the outputs are loaded, with the duration of the session. No paid software is needed.
Documentation included. Written installation guide with positions, the wiring diagram of the relay outputs to the contactors and the switch-on sequence, and the initial configuration of the session duration, the light threshold and the pairing between buttons and pitches indicated when ordering.

Before you order
Is an internet connection needed at the club?
It is needed at the point where the gateway is installed: a network socket or the club house Wi-Fi. The buttons, the sensors and the controllers do not use Wi-Fi, they talk to the gateway by radio. If there is no line at the pitch the version with the 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, traffic below 1 GB per month). It is chosen when ordering.
Does the signal reach the furthest pitches?
In open country the LoRaWAN radio covers several kilometres: the manufacturer states up to 2 km in an urban area and 15 km in open country. The pitches, the changing rooms and the pump room of a sports centre are covered by a single gateway. The delicate point is the floodlight panel: inside a metal cabinet the controller does not receive, it has to be mounted in a plastic enclosure. For several facilities scattered across the municipality the «extended coverage» variant is available, with an IP67 outdoor gateway and long pole antennas.
Which floodlights can I control?
Any floodlight, LED or discharge, on a single-phase or three-phase line: the controller does not power the floodlight, it closes a contact that pilots the contactor of the line. Each output carries 10 A resistive and 5 A inductive, 16 A in total per controller. The lighting towers, the floodlights and the existing panel are not included: the kit controls the installation you already have. The controller in the kit does not measure consumption.
How does the pitchside button work?
The button sends three different commands: short, long and double press. In the initial configuration the short press switches the floodlights of the pitch on for the duration of the session and the long press switches them off; the double press can be used to extend. A few seconds pass between the command and the switch-on. If the light sensor measures a value above the threshold, the request is not carried out. The button confirms the sending with an LED and a buzzer.
Does it connect to the pitch booking software?
The gateway accepts commands and sends data in MQTT or HTTP. If your booking software has an interface of this kind, the switch-on can follow the booked slot. The integration depends on the software: write to us from the contact section stating which one you use.
I have more than 4 pitches or a different facility
The kit is configured on the facility: the two controllers make 16 outputs available, each additional pitch requires a button and possibly a contactor; the gateway and the platform stay the same. Write to us from the contact section stating the number of pitches, lighting circuits per pitch, changing rooms and the distance of the panels: we will send you the composition and the quotation for the adapted kit.
Battery life
Buttons more than 7 years with about ten presses a day. Light sensor up to 10 years and temperature and humidity sensors from about 6 to more than 10 years, with one reading every 10 minutes at 25 °C. Shower leak sensors about 5.7 years with a button cell, pump room sensor up to 10 years. All the batteries are replaceable, with the level visible in the app. The gateway and the controllers are mains powered.
Where is the data consulted and are there any fees?
On the manufacturer's app and portal, from smartphone and PC, with charts, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. Where there is management software for the club or a municipal platform, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included.
What happens if there is no internet?
The rules that link the buttons, the light sensor and the outputs can be loaded on the gateway, which carries them out even without a connection to the cloud: the buttons keep switching the lights on and the sessions keep switching off. What stops are the commands from the app and the notifications, which resume when the line comes back. If the gateway loses power the system stops: it is advisable for the electrician to leave a manual-automatic selector switch on the panel, so the floodlights can always be operated by hand.
Is an electrician necessary?
Yes, for the two controllers: they work at 230 V and have to be connected in the floodlight panel together with contactors and protective devices. Everything else is battery powered and is fixed with screws, clamps or double-sided tape, with no cables.
