What it does
- The ceiling people counter above the entrance counts entries and exits in both directions with a stated accuracy of 99.8% and gives the number of people present in the centre at any moment.
- Two passage people counters on the doors of the class studios record the footfall by time slot: you can see which classes fill the studio and which do not.
- In the weights room and in the spinning room a wall-mounted monitor measures CO2, PM2.5, PM10, volatile compounds, temperature and humidity. The display and the traffic-light LED are visible to whoever is in the room; when the CO2 threshold is exceeded the notification goes out to increase the ventilation.
- The noise sensor records the sound level in dBA, average and peak: useful for the volume of the music in the classes and for relations with the neighbours.
- Four occupancy sensors, with no camera, indicate whether the cubicles of the toilets and the changing rooms are free or occupied; the history shows the peak hours of the changing rooms.
- Two watertight leak sensors report water on the floor in the technical room and in the shower area, with a buzzer on the spot and an immediate notification.
- History, charts and notifications can be consulted from a smartphone and from a PC.
For more class studios, more entrances, a different number of cubicles, centres on several floors or with a larger area, if there is no data line in the centre and a 4G gateway is needed: tell us the characteristics of your centre from the contact section and we will propose the correct configuration together with the quotation.

How it is installed
Gateway. Compact indoor gateway, on a piece of furniture, on the wall or on the ceiling, in a central position with respect to the rooms: behind the reception desk or in a dry technical room, with a network socket or the centre Wi-Fi. USB-C 5 V power supply, Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection. IP30, operation from -20 to +50 °C: it must not go in the pump room or in the changing rooms.
People counter at the entrance. On the ceiling above the opening, between 2.3 and 3.5 m high, facing downwards with a maximum tilt of 15°. More than 50 cm from the walls and at least 40 cm from the path of a hinged door; no glass or mirrors right up against it. The counting area is about 1.8 × 1.3 m when installed at 2.5 m and about 3 × 2.2 m at 3 m. Four wall plugs on a flat ceiling at least 30 mm thick. 12 V power supply with the power unit included: a socket reachable from the entrance ceiling is needed. IP40.
Class studios, weights room and spinning room. Passage people counter on the ceiling between 2 and 3 m, facing downwards: at 3 m it covers an opening up to 3.1 m wide. Alternatively on the wall, on the side of the passage, 1.2-1.3 m above the floor, for openings up to 2.3 m. Not right up against the door leaf, at least 45 cm from the wall in the ceiling installation, away from air conditioners, grilles and glazing. Air monitor on the wall at least 1.5 m above the floor, away from doors, windows, grilles and heat sources; power supply from a USB-C 5 V socket is recommended. Noise sensor 1.2-1.5 m above the floor, at least 1 m from walls and mirrors and about 1.5 m from doors and windows, not right up against the speakers.
Changing rooms and technical room. Occupancy sensor on the ceiling above the cubicle, between 2.5 and 3 m high, horizontal, not pointed directly at the door; in a cubicle with a WC the centre of the sensor goes 10-20 cm from the centre of the pan, facing the front. Fixing with two wall plugs or double-sided tape. It is IP30: it goes in the cubicles of the toilets and changing rooms, not inside the shower enclosures and away from splashes. With the test mode you check that the movement of the door does not trigger it. Leak sensors placed on the floor, flat, at the point where the water arrives or pools first: under manifolds and pumps in the technical room, near the drain or along the shower corridor. They are IP67 and trip with 0.5 mm of water.
Configuration. Via NFC with a smartphone and the manufacturer's free app for all the sensors: intervals, thresholds, names of rooms and cubicles. The exception is the entrance people counter, which is configured from a browser by connecting to its service Wi-Fi, like the gateway. No paid software is needed.
Documentation included. Written installation guide with heights, distances, width of the openings covered and switch-on sequence, and the initial configuration of thresholds, rooms and cubicles based on the plan indicated when ordering.

Before you order
Is the centre network needed?
It is needed only by the gateway: an Ethernet socket or Wi-Fi. The sensors do not use Wi-Fi, they talk to the gateway by radio. If there is no line in the centre the version with the 4G gateway is available, which requires a data SIM (not included, any operator, traffic below 1 GB per month). It is chosen when ordering.
Does one gateway cover the whole centre?
Inside a building the range depends on walls and floor slabs: the gateway goes in a central position. A centre on one floor up to 1,500 m² is covered by a single compact gateway. With several floors, thick reinforced concrete walls, basement rooms or a warehouse with separate blocks the «large building» variant is preferable, with a semi-industrial gateway with greater range, IP65 and PoE power supply. One gateway handles about 2,000 devices.
Are there cameras? And the members' privacy?
No device in the kit films or records images. The entrance people counter measures distances with a time-of-flight sensor, those of the studios use two passive infrared sensors, the cubicle sensors a distance meter and an infrared sensor: they detect a presence, not a person. That is why they can also be installed in the changing rooms.
How accurate are the counts?
The entrance people counter has a stated accuracy of 99.8% and distinguishes the two directions: it is the figure on which to base occupancy. The class studio people counters have a stated accuracy of up to 80%: they give the trend of the footfall by time slot, not the exact number of participants. The cubicle sensors state more than 99.5%.
Does the kit control the ventilation?
No: it measures and warns. When the CO2 threshold is exceeded the monitor signals it in the room with an LED and a buzzer and the system sends the notification. If the centre has a ventilation system with its own management system, the gateway can pass the values to it (MQTT or HTTP). The direct control of fans and heat recovery units is added on request from the contact section.
Can they be installed in the shower area and by the pool?
The leak sensors yes: they are IP67, with operation from -10 to +60 °C. All the other devices are for dry rooms (IP30, the entrance people counter IP40): the occupancy sensors go in the cubicles of the toilets and changing rooms, not in the shower enclosures; the air monitors and the noise sensor must not go on the poolside of a swimming pool.
I have more rooms, more entrances or a bigger centre
The kit is configured on the centre: a people counter is added for each room or entrance, a sensor for each cubicle, a monitor for each room; the gateway and the platform stay the same. Battery life and power supply
The gateway and the entrance people counter go to a socket. The air monitors on batteries last about one year, because measuring the particulates consumes power: for a permanent installation a USB-C 5 V socket is preferable. Studio people counters about 4 years with 1,000 passages a day, cubicle sensors from 3.4 to 4.2 years, noise sensor from 3 to 5 years, leak sensors about 5.7 years with a button cell. All the batteries are replaceable, with the level visible in the app.
Where is the data consulted and are there any fees?
On the manufacturer's app and portal, from smartphone and PC, with charts, thresholds and notifications; no fee for basic use. Where there is management software for the centre or a building management system, the gateway can also send the data to that system (MQTT or HTTP): the configuration is included.
What happens if there is no internet? Is an electrician needed?
Without internet the leak sensors still sound on the spot, the monitors show the values on the display and, like the studio people counters, keep the readings in memory; notifications and history resume when the line comes back. An electrician is needed only if the sockets are missing: one near the entrance ceiling for the 12 V people counter, one for each air monitor and one for the gateway. Everything else is fixed with screws or double-sided tape.
