Solar Extension Lead 4 mm² Red with MC4 Connectors 1 m
Pre-assembled photovoltaic extension lead made of 1 metre of 4 mm² solar cable in red, already fitted with MC4 type connectors at both ends (one male and one female). It is used to extend the direct current connection between the modules of a string, or between the string and the field panel or the inverter, when the original panel cables do not reach the termination point.
The red colour conventionally identifies the positive pole of the string, making it easier to check polarity during wiring. Being a ready-to-use assembly, it requires no crimping on site: it plugs directly into the module connectors with the snap-in coupling typical of MC4 connectors, which ensures a mechanically locked connection protected against accidental contact. The cable used is of the type for photovoltaic systems, with double insulation in cross-linked polyolefin resistant to UV rays, weather and temperature swings.
