Solar Extension Lead 6 mm² Red with MC4 Connectors 3.8 m
Pre-assembled photovoltaic extension lead 3.8 metres long, made with 6 mm² solar cable in red and complete with MC4 type connectors at both ends. It is used to extend the direct current side of the system: from the string end to the field panel, from the panel to the inverter, or between distant array sections.
The 6 mm² cross-section reduces the voltage drop over longer runs and on higher current strings, typical of the latest generation modules, and is the usual choice when the route from the roof to the technical room exceeds a few tens of metres. The red colour conventionally identifies the positive pole. The assembly is already crimped in the factory, so it is installed without crimping tools; the cable has double insulation in halogen-free cross-linked polyolefin, resistant to UV rays, ozone and weather for outdoor installation.
