AC Combiner Box 16 A Three-Phase with Type 2 SPD
Alternating current combiner box for three-phase photovoltaic systems, designed for installation on the AC side between the inverter and the building's distribution board. It concentrates line protection and surge protection in a single container, avoiding the use of space in the existing consumer unit and making periodic checks easier.
The equipment includes a 16 A miniature circuit breaker, which protects the three-phase line against overloads and short circuits and acts as the inverter's isolating device, and a Type 2 surge protective device (class II) for limiting transient surges induced by indirect lightning strikes or by grid switching operations. The 16 A size on a 400 V three-phase grid covers inverters up to roughly 11 kW.
