AC Combiner Box 16 A Three-Phase with Type 2 SPD and 300 mA Type A RCD
Alternating current combiner box for three-phase photovoltaic systems, complete with residual current protection. It is installed on the AC side between the inverter output and the distribution board and brings together in a single enclosure all the protections required on the grid connection line: overcurrent protection, residual current protection and surge protection.
The equipment includes a 16 A miniature circuit breaker against overloads and short circuits, a Type 2 surge protective device (class II) against transient overvoltages caused by indirect lightning strikes and switching operations, and a 300 mA Type A residual current device. The 300 mA sensitivity is the value typically used for protection against fire risks due to earth leakage currents; Type A ensures tripping even with pulsating unidirectional fault currents, the kind that can occur downstream of electronic equipment such as photovoltaic inverters.
