AC Combiner Box 20 A Three-Phase with Type 2 SPD
Combiner box in alternating current for three-phase photovoltaic systems, to be installed on the AC side between the inverter output and the electrical distribution board. It gathers into a single enclosure the protection devices required on the grid connection line, simplifying field wiring and making the system tidier and easier to inspect.
The box contains a 20 A miniature circuit breaker for overload and short-circuit protection of the three-phase line and for isolating the inverter, and a Type 2 surge protective device (class II) that diverts to earth transient surges of indirect atmospheric and switching origin. On a 400 V three-phase grid, 20 A corresponds roughly to inverters up to about 13.8 kW.
