AC Combiner Box Three-Phase 16 A with Type 2 SPD and 100 mA Type A RCD
The alternating current combiner box is the protection board to be installed on the AC side of the photovoltaic system, between the three-phase inverter output and the building's main board. This version is rated for a nominal current of 16 A per phase and brings together in a single watertight wall-mounted box all the protections required for parallel connection to the distribution grid.
The box contains a Type 2 surge protective device (SPD) that limits the overvoltages induced by indirect lightning strikes and by grid switching operations, protecting the inverter electronics, a 16 A three-phase miniature circuit breaker for overload and short-circuit protection and for isolation, and a 100 mA Type A residual current device, suitable for detecting the pulsating unidirectional fault currents typical of static converters as well.
