AC Combiner Box Three-Phase 20 A with Type 1+2 SPD
The alternating current combiner box is installed on the AC side of a photovoltaic system, between the three-phase inverter output and the main board. This version is fitted with a combined Type 1+2 surge arrester, the solution required when the building has a lightning protection system (LPS) or when there is a risk of a direct lightning strike on the structure or on the incoming lines.
The Type 1+2 surge arrester is able to discharge both the lightning current (10/350 µs waveform) and the induced surge pulses (8/20 µs waveform), thus performing coarse and fine protection functions in a single device. The box also includes a 20 A three-phase miniature circuit breaker with curve B for overload and short-circuit protection and for isolating the line. In this configuration no residual current device is fitted, so it must be provided upstream or downstream according to the system diagram.
