DC Combiner Box 1000 V with Type 2 SPD and 4 Fuses 15 A for 2 Strings and 2 MPPT
DC-side combiner box for photovoltaic systems up to 1000 V DC, designed for 2 strings connected to 2 MPPT inputs. It is placed along the route of the string cables between the photovoltaic generator and the inverter, and concentrates surge protection and string overcurrent protection in a single enclosure.
The equipment includes a Type 2 surge protective device, intended to limit the transient surges induced by indirect lightning strikes and by switching operations on the grid, and 4 fuse holders with 15 A fuses: two for each string, one on the positive pole and one on the negative pole. The gPV fuses protect the cables and the modules against the reverse currents that can occur when several strings are connected in parallel or in the event of a fault, and they also allow each pole to be isolated individually for maintenance work.
