DC Combiner Box 1000 V with Type 2 SPD for 1 String and 1 MPPT, 12-Module Enclosure
The direct current combiner box is installed on the DC side of the photovoltaic system, between the string of modules and the inverter input, to protect the system from the surges that travel along the DC lines. This version is built in a 12-module DIN enclosure, roomier than the compact variants of the same series: the free space inside makes wiring, cable routing and the possible integration of additional devices easier during installation.
Inside is a Type 2 surge protective device (SPD) for photovoltaics, sized for a string voltage up to 1000 V DC and wired for one string on one MPPT input. The arrester diverts to earth the impulses induced by indirect lightning strikes, limiting the residual voltage at the inverter input to values compatible with its impulse withstand.
