DC Combiner Box 1000 V with Type 2 SPD for 4 Photovoltaic Strings and 4 MPPT
DC-side combiner box for photovoltaic systems up to 1000 V DC, designed for 4 photovoltaic strings connected to 4 MPPT inputs. It is used on systems with several roof pitches or orientations, where the inverter has four maximum power point trackers and each string has to keep an electrically separate path up to the converter.
Inside is a Type 2 surge protective device, which limits the transient surges due to indirect lightning strikes and to switching operations on the grid, diverting them to the earthing system before they reach the DC inputs of the inverter. It is the protection indicated for systems that do not require the Type 1 class, that is, when the building is not equipped with a lightning protection system. The enclosure, measuring 319 × 384 × 144 mm, is designed for wall mounting close to the inverter.
