DC+AC Combiner Box with Type 2 SPD, 1 PV String 1000 V and 10 A Three-Phase AC Section
Combiner box combining DC and AC for small three-phase photovoltaic systems. The direct current side is designed for 1 PV string on 1 MPPT input with a voltage of up to 1000 V DC; the alternating current side is rated for a 10 A three-phase connection, a value suited to lower-power three-phase inverters.
Protection is provided by Type 2 surge protective devices present on both sections: on the direct current side to safeguard the modules and the DC inputs of the inverter, and on the alternating current side to safeguard the inverter output and the line running to the building's main distribution board. By bringing the two protections together in a single enclosure, the box replaces two separate items of equipment and simplifies both installation and subsequent periodic inspections.
