Combined DC+AC combiner box for photovoltaic systems with three-phase inverters, also complete with residual current protection. It collects 2 PV strings on 2 MPPT inputs and brings together in a single enclosure all the protective devices required upstream and downstream of the inverter.
The DC side is protected by a Type 2 surge protective device for 1000 V DC; the AC side by a Type 2 SPD, a 32 A three-phase miniature circuit breaker and a 100 mA Type A residual current circuit breaker, sensitive to alternating and pulsating unidirectional fault currents. The 100 mA threshold is chosen to limit nuisance tripping caused by the earth leakage currents typical of photovoltaic generators, while still ensuring protection against indirect contact.
