How it works

The STAR-Tank sensor is glued on top of the tank and reads the level with a radar wave through the plastic: nothing is drilled and no part sits in the liquid getting dirty. It transmits over radio to the STAR module or the CAN interface, which passes the reading to a Victron Cerbo GX, an NMEA 2000 plotter or the on-board display. For metal tanks, or tanks already drilled, there are external-pressure probes and resistive interfaces that read the existing float senders and turn them into a digital value.
