WattKit LA6.25-1000 DC Surge Protective Device 1000 V 3 Poles Type 2
The WattKit LA6.25-1000 surge protective device is a protection device (SPD) for the DC side of photovoltaic plants, rated for system voltages up to 1000 V DC. Its job is to divert transient overvoltages of atmospheric or grid origin to earth before they reach the inverter and the other components connected to the strings.
It is installed on a DIN rail inside an array combiner box or a protection enclosure placed close to the inverter, with the classic three-pole arrangement (+, PE, −) that protects both common mode and differential mode. The cartridges are removable and replaceable and each one has an optical status window: green when the device is intact, red when the cartridge is spent and must be replaced.
