The MultiPlus 48/3000/35-16 combines a 3000 VA sine-wave inverter, a 35 A adaptive battery charger and a 16 A automatic transfer switch in a single unit. It is the classic Victron toroidal-transformer inverter/charger, the most proven choice for campers, boats and off-grid systems.
Key strengths
PowerControl
Automatically limits the current drawn from the grid or generator so they are never overloaded: loads come first, battery charging uses whatever is left.
PowerAssist
Adds inverter power to the grid or generator to cover consumption peaks. A 16 A socket can then run far more demanding loads.
UPS function
During a blackout the changeover takes under 20 milliseconds: computers, servers and sensitive equipment keep running without noticing.
4-stage adaptive charging
The adaptive algorithm (bulk, absorption, float, storage) and BatterySafe mode extend lead-acid battery life and are fully compatible with LiFePO4 lithium.
Monitoring and configuration
It is configured and updated with the MK3-USB interface through VictronConnect, or with the VE.Bus Smart dongle over Bluetooth. Connected to a GX device (Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX) it gives full system monitoring locally and remotely on the free VRM portal, with data history, alarms and remote firmware updates.
