Victron Energy Smart BatteryProtect 12/24V 65A bluetooth programmable electro battery

Smart BatteryProtect is an electronic switch that we recommend to use in lithium battery systems with internal BMS, like ours.
It is used to disconnect the battery from the main 12V/24V users so as to prevent excessive discharge of the battery itself, preventing it from being damaged.

The lithium battery can be completely discharged, it will not be damaged immediately. We recommend recharging within a few weeks, maximum within 2 months. However, using a Smart Battery Protect, we can disconnect the utilities before the BMS kicks in. The battery will still have a bit of charge, but the utilities will stop absorbing energy.

  • Available from 65A, 100A and 220A.
  • The 65A version is sufficient in most cases. Multiplus and Quattro inverters, which absorb over 200A, can be programmed via theUSB MK3 interface, So they don't need the Smart Battery Protect.
  • Also great for systems with lead batteries.
  • Bluetooth: Simplicity of Programming
When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, you can set any activation/deactivation level.
Alternatively, one of the nine activation/deactivation levels can be set with the programmed PIN.
If necessary, Bluetooth can be turned off.

  • Very low current consumption
This is important for Li-ion batteries, especially after a shutdown due to low voltage.

  • Surge Protection
To prevent damage to sensitive loads due to overvoltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16.3 V and 32.6 V.

  • Flame retardant resistance
There are no relays, but MOSFET switches and therefore no spark.
