The FoxESS CQ7-S is the slave module of the CQ7 high voltage storage system, with LiFePO4 (LFP) cells and a nominal energy of 7.02 kWh per module at 115.2 V. The CQ7 adopts a master/slave architecture: the tower always starts from a CQ7-M master module, which integrates the system control, to which up to 13 CQ7-S slave modules connected in series are added.
The system is scalable from 14.04 kWh to 98.28 kWh (maximum 14 modules in series) with an operating voltage range from 104.4 V to 919.8 V. The maximum charge and discharge current is 80 A, with a discharge peak of 110 A for 60 seconds; the depth of discharge is 90% and the round trip efficiency higher than 95%. The IP65 protection rating, the natural convection cooling and the integrated fire protection allow both indoor and outdoor installation; with the optional heating function the operating range extends down to -25 °C. Communication with the inverter takes place via CAN.
