The Huawei LUNA2000-7-E1 is the 6.9 kWh battery module with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells that makes up the LUNA2000-S1 high voltage storage system. Each system consists of the LUNA2000-10KW-C1 power module and 1, 2 or 3 battery modules, for a usable energy of 6.9, 13.8 or 20.7 kWh (models LUNA2000-7-S1, -14-S1 and -21-S1); up to 4 systems can also be connected in parallel.

The module works on a high voltage DC bus (350-560 V in single-phase systems and 600-980 V in three-phase ones) and is compatible with the Huawei inverters of the SUN2000 and SUN5000 series indicated by the manufacturer. Protection rating IP66, natural convection cooling and operation from -20 °C to +55 °C allow it to be installed both outdoors and indoors; the declared depth of discharge is 100% and the expected life exceeds 5,000 cycles with 80% residual capacity.
