Deye SE-F16 Max low-voltage storage battery 16kWh LiFePO4 IP65

The Deye SE-F16 Max is a low-voltage home storage battery of 16kWh (314Ah at 51,2V) built on LiFePO4 cells, made to sit alongside a 48V hybrid inverter. It is the SE-F16 Max without the heater: same capacity, same footprint and same ingress protection as the Max-H, but it charges from 0 °C upwards instead of from -20 °C.

The IP65 rating lets you mount it on a wall or stand it on the floor even in a damp room, and the BMS talks CAN 2.0, RS485 and Bluetooth to 48V hybrid inverters (the SE-F16 Max is not yet on Deye’s official DY-LV48-0128 compatibility list, so check the pairing with your Deye inverter before ordering). Up to 32 units run in parallel (64 with a CAN-Bridge), for as much as 512kWh, with ≥ 8000 cycles, 90% DoD and a 10-year warranty.

Max or Max-H: which one

The two are identical apart from the heater. The SE-F16 Max charges between 0 and 55 °C: fine indoors, in a plant room or in a garage that does not drop below freezing in winter. The SE-F16 Max-H has the heater and charges down to -20 °C: you only need it where the battery really does freeze. Both discharge down to -20 °C.
