Balcony kits with storage, where the battery stops you handing your midday production to the grid: Growatt kits at 900Wp with the NEO 800M-X microinverter and a NOAH 2000 battery expandable from 2 to 8.2 kWh, and Anker SOLIX 3 kits at 1800W with the E2700 storage unit and a BP2700 module for 5.38 kWh in total, energy meter included.
The energy meter is the part that makes storage worthwhile on a balcony system: it reads consumption at the meter and discharges the battery only as much as needed, instead of exporting at an unfavourable tariff.
These are plug-in systems: connected to a dedicated socket and managed from an app, with no work on the consumer unit.
