The Weco XTR-3 LV is a three-phase hybrid inverter rated 8 kW: it converts the output of the PV modules, charges and discharges the storage battery and exchanges with the grid, all in a single unit with a single control logic.
In normal operation the energy produced and not consumed is stored in the battery instead of being exported, and becomes available again in the evening: it is the most direct way to raise self-consumption. The backup output keeps the essential loads running even when the grid is down. The PV inputs are 2 MPPT, with independent MPPT tracking, so strings with different orientation or shading do not penalise each other.
Weco is the Italian brand known for lithium storage batteries and has extended its range to inverters: the idea is to have inverter and batteries from the same maker, with coordinated communication and warranty.
