How it works

The MPPT controller continuously hunts the panels' maximum power point and turns the surplus voltage into charging current: compared with a PWM controller it typically recovers 20-30% more energy, above all in weak light. It wires to the panels on one side and the battery on the other, and is set up from the phone over Bluetooth. Flexible panels glue onto a curved roof with no frame and no holes; portable ones open on the ground and face the sun when the vehicle is parked in the shade.
