DC Combiner Box 1000 V with Type 2 SPD for 6 PV Strings and 6 MPPT
Combiner box for the direct current side of photovoltaic systems up to 1000 V DC, prepared for 6 photovoltaic strings on 6 MPPT inputs. It is intended for commercial-scale systems or for large residential installations with several roof pitches, where the inverter (or several inverters) has six maximum power point trackers and each string must keep a separate electrical path.
Inside there is a Type 2 surge protective device for the 1000 V DC side, which diverts to the earthing system the transient surges caused by indirect lightning strikes or by switching operations on the grid, before they reach the modules and the inverter's DC inputs. The box is wall-mounted along the main run of the string cables and brings together the connection and the protection of the six strings at a single point.
