Every cable leaving the battery positive must be protected as close to the terminal as possible: it is the basic rule of a DC installation, because a short on an unprotected cable can deliver thousands of amps. Rating is chosen on cable capacity, not on the load's draw.

Terminal fuses solve the space problem in tight compartments; busbars tidy the taps and reduce hot spots. Certified products for 12V, 24V and 48V.
