Certified solar cable for the DC side of a solar system: H1Z2Z2-K cable in 4mm², 6mm² and 10mm², in red and black, available on 250 and 500 metre reels as well as by the metre.

The code H1Z2Z2-K identifies solar cable to EN 50618: halogen-free cross-linked insulation, resistance to UV, weather and temperatures from -40 to +90°C in continuous service, rated 1.5kV DC. A building cable, even of the same cross-section, degrades outdoors within a few years.

Cross-section is worked out on string current and run length, holding voltage drop inside 1-2%.
