A hybrid inverter handles PV strings, battery and grid at the same time, so it replaces a string inverter plus a battery inverter. The parameters that matter are AC power, the number of MPPTs (which sets how many roof planes with different orientations you can connect), the supported battery voltage (48V low voltage or high voltage above 100V) and the backup power available off-grid.

Grid connection in Italy requires CEI 0-21 or CEI 0-16 certification.
