The Trina Solar TSM-455NED9R.28 is a Vertex S+ module in the reinforced Shield version, rated 455 W at 22.8 % efficiency and built with 144 N-type i-TOPCon Ultra half-cells in a compact 1762 × 1134 mm format. What sets the Shield range apart is its heat-strengthened dual glass laminate, certified for mechanical loads of up to 7000 Pa snow and 5000 Pa wind, well above the market standard: this is the panel for regions with heavy snow load, for high altitude sites and for roofs exposed to strong gusts.
The compact format and the 1134 mm width make it easy to lay out on residential pitched roofs, including awkward geometries, while the black frame and dark front deliver a uniform visual result. The N-type i-TOPCon cells suffer no LID, show a power temperature coefficient of -0.29 %/°C and an NMOT of 43 °C, among the lowest on the market, for a yield advantage on hot days. The glass-glass structure ensures durability and PID resistance, with unusually broad warranty cover: 25 years of product warranty and 30 years of linear power warranty.
