The Weco 5K0 SMART HV PRO module is a lithium iron phosphate storage battery of 5.12 kWh for PV systems with a hybrid inverter, in a high voltage configuration.
LiFePO4 chemistry contains no cobalt, copes well with temperature and offers a long cycle life: it is the standard of residential storage. The on-board BMS monitors voltage, current and temperature of every cell and talks to the inverter, which decides when to charge and when to discharge according to generation and consumption.
Weco is the Italian brand known for lithium storage batteries and has extended its range to inverters: the idea is to have inverter and batteries from the same maker, with coordinated communication and warranty.
