What it does
- The waterproof Sonoff WTS01 probe measures the water temperature and sends it to the TH Elite.
- The TH Elite switches the heater on when the water falls below the set value and off when it reaches it, even without internet.
- The TH Elite display shows the tank temperature at a glance.
- The S60TPF plug switches the aquarium lights on and off at fixed times, for a photoperiod that is always the same.
- The eWeLink app sends a notification if the temperature leaves the range you set.

How to install it
Wi-Fi network. The thermostat and the plug connect to the home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, with no hub. It is worth checking that the signal reaches the aquarium properly, especially if the TH Elite stays shut inside the cabinet under the tank. Download the eWeLink app and create the account before you start.
TH Elite thermostat. The TH Elite is powered at 230V and drives the heater from its output, to the manufacturer's diagram: in practice it sits between the supply and the heater's cable. It goes in a dry spot inside the cabinet, away from splashes, inside the junction box. The 230V connections must be made by qualified personnel with the system isolated.
Probe and accessories. The WTS01 probe plugs into the TH Elite connector and goes into the tank, away from the heater and from the filter outlet, held by a suction cup. The Wago lever connectors are for the joints. Optional: the deep 503 back box if the thermostat goes into a wall box, or the Gewiss junction box to fit it inside the cabinet.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app you add the TH Elite and the S60TPF plug and connect them to the Wi-Fi. Check that the probe temperature appears in the app and on the thermostat display. Then set thermostat mode with the temperature you want and a small tolerance band, to avoid switching on too often.
Recommended automations. The most useful ones: heater on below the set temperature and off once it is reached, lights switched on and off at fixed times by the plug, a notification if the water goes above or below two safety thresholds. Temperature control stays on the TH Elite even when the internet is down.
Contents verified. The TH Elite 16A takes the waterproof Sonoff WTS01 probe, and the S60TPF plug is handled from the same eWeLink app. A pack of Wago lever connectors for wiring the thermostat is included. Optional: a deep 503 back box if the thermostat goes into a wall box, and a Gewiss junction box to fit it inside the aquarium cabinet.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No: the TH Elite and the S60TPF plug connect straight to the home Wi-Fi and are managed from the eWeLink app. All you need is good 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage where the aquarium stands.
Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?
Yes: Sonoff Wi-Fi devices are added to the eWeLink app and from there connect to Alexa and Google Home through the eWeLink skills. You can ask by voice to switch things on and off and to read out the temperature. Automations are still best set up in eWeLink, where you choose thresholds and times.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes for the TH Elite, which is wired at 230V between the supply and the heater. The 230V connections must be made by qualified personnel with the system isolated. Near water it matters that the circuit is protected by an RCD. The S60TPF plug, on the other hand, you fit yourself.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The TH Elite keeps regulating the temperature with the settings it has stored: the heater stays under control even without a connection. The plug keeps the schedules already set, as stated by the manufacturer. Notifications and remote control resume once the internet is back.
Can I add more devices?
Yes: in the same eWeLink app you can add more Sonoff plugs for pumps, air pumps or a second tank, and a second TH Elite with its own probe for another tank. For setups with a chiller, write to us from the contacts section.
Are there batteries?
No: the thermostat, the probe and the plug are mains-powered. The probe is passive and takes its power from the TH Elite: there are no batteries to replace. It is just worth cleaning the algae off the probe now and then, so the readings stay accurate.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
Write to us from the contact page quoting the kit code: we will point you to a compatible alternative, checked against the other devices just like the rest of the kit. Avoid swapping an item for a similar one without checking protocol, power supply and type of connection: a different model may not work with the rest of the kit.
