What it does
- The two Sonoff SNZB-04PR1 contacts on the doors report an opening and also any attempt to remove them, thanks to the tamper protection.
- The two SNZB-03PR2 motion sensors cover the shop floor and the back room or the stockroom.
- With the alarm set, an opening or movement triggers the SNZB-09P Zigbee siren and sends a notification to the phone.
- The TP-Link TL-MR105 router with its own SIM gives the bridge a 4G connection independent of the shop line.
- The 500VA APC Back-UPS keeps the bridge and the router on during a power cut or if someone pulls the power.
- The alarm arms on a timer, at closing time, or by hand from the app.

How it is installed
4G router, UPS and bridge. The TL-MR105 router goes in the back room with a data SIM, not included, somewhere with good 4G coverage. Router and ZB Bridge Pro run off the UPS outlets, which in turn plug into a wall socket. Keep everything out of sight, not visible from the shop window, and connect the bridge to the router's Wi-Fi or network.
Contacts on the doors. The two SNZB-04PR1 contacts fit on the frame of the front door and of the back door, with the magnet on the leaf, aligned and a few millimetres away. The sensor also reports being pulled off the surface: fix it properly, with screws or with the double-sided tape on clean surfaces, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Motion and siren. The SNZB-03PR2 sensors go in a high corner, at about two metres, aimed at the walkways, not at the shop window or the air conditioning. The SNZB-09P siren goes high up, out of easy reach, and is powered as the manufacturer specifies, ideally from the same UPS.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app add the bridge, then pair the contacts, the motion sensors and the siren one at a time, with clear names such as “front door” and “stockroom”. Test every sensor with the alarm armed and check the notification and the siren go off. Share access with whoever is to get the alerts.
Recommended automations. Automatic arming half an hour after closing and disarming at opening, with an exception on public holidays. With the alarm armed: siren and notification on every opening or movement, and a notification if a contact is tampered with. One too if the bridge goes offline or the UPS takes over.
Contents verified. SNZB-04PR1 contacts, SNZB-03PR2 sensors and the SNZB-09P siren are Sonoff Zigbee devices that pair with the ZB Bridge Pro and are managed in the eWeLink app. The TL-MR105 router gives the bridge its 4G connection and the 500VA APC Back-UPS keeps both powered during a blackout, so the alerts still go out when the power fails.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes, and it is included: the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro. The sensors and the siren are Zigbee and talk only to the bridge, which goes online through the 4G router included. All you need is a data SIM, not included, with a small monthly allowance.
Why the 4G router?
So the alarm does not depend on the shop's own line, which can fail or be cut. With the 4G router and its SIM, the bridge stays online and the alerts still reach your phone. If you prefer, the router can sit alongside the fixed line as a back-up.
How long does the UPS last?
It depends how much the connected devices draw: a bridge and a router use very little, so a 500VA unit will keep them running far longer than it would a computer. You can check the real runtime after installation by pulling the plug as a test.
Is it a certified alarm installation?
No. It is an alerting system with a siren and notifications, useful for knowing straight away what is happening and stepping in. It does not replace a certified alarm system or a monitoring service, if your insurer requires them.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes, Sonoff devices reach Alexa and Google Home through eWeLink, for a spoken announcement when a door opens, for example. Arming the alarm and the notifications stay in the eWeLink app, though.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The sensors run on batteries and fix with screws or double-sided tape, siren and bridge are powered with no work on the installation, router and UPS plug into an ordinary socket.
Are batteries included?
Contacts and motion sensors run on batteries; the contacts take CR2477 cells. What comes as standard is stated on each product's Amazon listing. The charge level shows in the app, and it is worth turning on the low battery warning.
