What it does
- The 4G router with a SIM creates the on-board network and puts the boat online in harbour.
- The Plus Uni reads the service battery voltage; with the second Uni in the box you can also watch the engine battery.
- One input on the Plus Uni reads the bilge float switch contact and reports when it rises.
- The IP67 water sensor in the bilge warns you if the water reaches an abnormal level.
- The BLU H&T sensor below deck measures temperature and humidity, so you notice condensation and mould.
- The BLU contact on the companionway reports every opening with a notification.

How it is installed
Router and power supply. The RUT241 runs on DC and connects to the 12V service line through a dedicated fuse, with the polarity respected. It goes below deck somewhere dry, with the antennas as high as possible; you fit a data SIM, not included. The router and the modules stay on all the time: at the berth you need charging from shore power or from a solar panel.
Plus Uni, float switch and USB socket. The Plus Uni run on 12V; the voltage measuring input goes to the battery with a fuse close to the positive terminal, and a digital input to the bilge float switch contact. They go in the IP65 enclosure with Wago connectors and IP68 cable glands. The flush-mounted USB socket is wired to the 12V circuit with a fuse. Work with the system disconnected.
Sensors on board. The BLU USB gateway goes into the USB socket and joins the router's Wi-Fi. The IP67 water sensor sits at the lowest point of the bilge, away from the pump. The BLU H&T sensor goes in the saloon, away from the portlights; the contact fixes to the companionway hatch and its rebate, with the two parts aligned when the hatch is shut.
App and pairing. In the Shelly app you add the Plus Uni, the gateway and the water sensor to the router's network, then pair the H&T sensor and the contact to the BLU gateway. In the Plus Uni you turn on voltage measurement and compare it with a tester; rename the float switch input. Test the float switch by lifting it by hand.
Recommended automations. An urgent notification when the float switch lifts or the sensor finds water in the bilge. An alert for low battery voltage, before it can no longer run the pump. An alert for high humidity below decks and a notification for every companionway opening complete the picture when you are not aboard.
Contents verified. The Plus Uni, the gateway, the sensors and the contact are all Shelly and share the same app; the 4G router provides the Wi-Fi on board. Included are the Wago lever connectors for wiring the modules, the IP65 waterproof box to keep the modules on board clear of water and vibration, the IP68 cable glands for sealed cable entry and the flush-mount 12V USB socket to power the USB gateway.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
You need the Shelly BLU USB gateway, included, for the H&T sensor and the Bluetooth contact. The 4G router included creates the on-board network, which the gateway, the Plus Uni and the water sensor connect to, and takes everything online with a SIM.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes, or a marine fitter: the router, the Plus Uni and the USB socket wire into the 12V system with dedicated fuses, the correct polarity and cables suited to the marine environment. The work must be done with the system disconnected.
Does it replace the automatic bilge pump?
No. The kit warns, it does not pump out: the bilge pump with its own float switch remains the main protection and must work on its own. The kit tells you when it runs and whether the water rises above normal.
Will the kit flatten the batteries?
The router and the modules are on all the time and draw from the service battery. At the berth you need shore charging or a solar panel, neither included. The Plus Uni warns you if the voltage drops.
What happens if there is no mobile signal?
The sensors keep measuring and the devices stay up on the on-board network. Notifications and control from home return when coverage is back. In port the signal is usually good, but it is worth checking it at your own berth.
Are batteries included?
The H&T sensor and the contact use a CR2032 cell; the water sensor has its own battery. What comes in the box is as stated on each item's Amazon listing. The router and the Plus Uni run off the boat's battery.
Can I add devices?
Yes: a Shelly relay to run the pump or the lights, more BLU sensors in the lockers, a camera. It all goes into the same Shelly app and onto the same router network.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
