What it does
- On the main incomer the Shelly Pro 3EM-3CT63 measures the shed's total energy, phase by phase, with the 63A current clamps.
- The two Shelly Pro 3EM meters on the department feeds show how much energy each department uses, so you can compare shifts, machines and periods.
- The clamps open and close around the conductors: there is no need to break into the cables to measure.
- The DIN-rail Shelly LAN switch wires the three meters to the company router, steadier than Wi-Fi inside a metal board.
- In the app you see instantaneous power, peaks and consumption history, useful for working out where to act and for splitting costs between departments.

How it is installed
Network and positioning. The Pro 3EM meters join the network over Ethernet: in the board, the DIN-rail Shelly LAN switch takes the three 1 m cables included and carries a single link to the company router with the kit's 10 m Cat6 cable. If the router is further away you need a longer cable or a network point nearby. Wi-Fi is still an option, but it is less reliable inside metal boards.
Meters on the main incomer and on the departments. The Pro 3EM-3CT63 goes in the main board, with its three clamps on the phases downstream of the main switch; the two Pro 3EM units go on the departmental feeds. Each meter needs its voltage reference on the phases, as per the Shelly diagram. The 230/400V wiring is for a qualified electrician, with the supply isolated.
Enclosures and wiring. If the existing board has no room on the DIN rail, the two 12-module surface enclosures included take the meters and the switch with a little room spare. Crimp ferrules are used for the wiring and Wago 221-413 connectors for the joints. Check that the clamps are closed properly and face the way the manufacturer shows, otherwise the power reads with the wrong sign.
App and setup. In the Shelly app or from the web interface, add the three meters to the network, name them main, department A and department B and check that plausible voltage and current appear on every phase. If a phase shows negative power, turn the clamp round or correct its direction in the settings. Set the right date and time for the history.
Recommended automations. Set a notification when the power at the main incomer goes above a threshold close to your supply limit, so you do not overshoot. Create an alert if a department draws energy outside working hours, a sign that machines or compressors have been left running. Export the history now and then to compare consumption between months and departments.
Contents verified. Three Shelly Pro 3EM meters and the Shelly LAN switch run in the same Shelly app and talk over Ethernet. The kit includes two 12-module DIN surface enclosures for the meters and the switch with ways to spare, the crimp ferrules for wiring inside the board, the Wago 221-413 connectors for the joints, five 1 m Cat6 cables for the connections in the board and one 10 m Cat6 cable to reach the router.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No: the Shelly Pro 3EM meters connect straight to the company network by cable, through the LAN switch included, or over Wi-Fi. They are managed with the Shelly app and each device's web interface, with no extra gateways.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes. The meters and the clamps go in the distribution board, with voltage taps on the phases: the connections must be made by qualified personnel, with the installation isolated, following the manufacturer's diagram. There is nothing here to do yourself.
Will the clamps suit my circuit?
The Pro 3EM-3CT63 clamps measure up to 63A per phase; the Pro 3EM comes with its own clamps, with the rating the manufacturer gives on the Amazon listing. Check the current of the circuits to be measured: if the main breaker is above the clamps' rating, get in touch through the contact page and we will tell you which version to use.
Does it work with Alexa, Google Home or other systems?
The devices run from the Shelly app, which also offers integration with Alexa and Google Home as the manufacturer describes. On business sites, Shelly devices can also send data to supervisory systems on the local network: ask your own engineer or get in touch via the contact page.
What happens if there is no internet?
The meters keep measuring and stay reachable from the company's local network through the web interface. With the line down you lose access from outside and notifications on your phone until the connection is back.
Can I meter other departments?
Yes: you can add more Pro 3EM meters, one per three-phase circuit, or single-phase meters for individual loads. The switch has free ports to expand. Get in touch through the contact page with the board diagram.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
