What it does
- The Power Strip 4 Gen4 controls the PC, the monitor, the console and the accent lights on four separate sockets and shows what each one draws.
- The two Shelly Duo E27 bulbs adjust brightness and white temperature, from warm to cool, for playtime or for quiet time in the room.
- The BLU RC Button 4 remote calls up four scenes from the desk, without opening the app.
- At the end of a session a scene switches off the plugs feeding the devices left on standby and keeps only the selected ones powered.
- The consumption history shows what the workstation really costs when it is on.

How to install it
Wi-Fi network. The power strip and the bulbs connect to the home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, with no hub. Check that the signal reaches the room with the workstation properly; if the PC is wired and the router is far away, a repeater is worth adding. Download the Shelly app and create the account before you start.
Power strip and bulbs. The Power Strip plugs into the wall socket and takes the plugs of the PC, the monitor, the console and the lights. It must not be used for loads above those stated by the manufacturer. The Shelly Duo bulbs screw into E27 lampholders in place of the existing ones; the lamp's wall switch has to stay on, otherwise they receive no commands.
Remote. The BLU RC Button 4 remote stays on the desk or fixes to its edge with double-sided tape. It talks over Bluetooth: the Power Strip Gen4 acts as the receiver for BLU devices, so no separate gateway is needed. Keep the remote within a sensible distance of the power strip, with no metal walls in between.
App and pairing. In the Shelly app you add the power strip, naming every socket, and the two bulbs. Then the BLU remote is paired with the power strip and a scene is assigned to each button. It is worth checking in the app the power each socket draws with the appliances on and in standby.
Recommended scenes. Four buttons, four scenes: “Gaming”, with the PC and the console on and the warm lights low; “Stream”, with full white light; “Break”, which switches off the sockets you do not need; “Finished”, which switches everything off except the router or charger socket. You create them as scenes in the Shelly app and link them to the buttons.
Contents verified. The Power Strip 4 Gen4, the Shelly Duo bulbs and the BLU remote are all managed from the same Shelly app; the Gen4 power strip receives the remote's Bluetooth commands directly, with no extra gateway. No accessories are needed: everything plugs in or screws into the existing lamp holders.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No: the power strip and the bulbs connect to the home Wi-Fi and the BLU remote talks over Bluetooth to the strip, which acts as the receiver. All you need is good Wi-Fi coverage in the room.
Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?
Yes: Shelly devices connect to Alexa and Google Home through the official Shelly integrations, once they have been added to the Shelly app. They are also supported by Home Assistant on the local network. For Apple Home you need a device with Matter support, as stated by the manufacturer.
Do you need an electrician?
No: the power strip plugs into the socket, the bulbs screw into the E27 lamp holders and the remote is battery-powered. You can fit everything yourself, with no tools, in a few minutes. All you need is a free socket near the desk.
Can I switch the PC off from the power strip?
The power strip cuts the power at the socket: use it to switch equipment off after shutting it down from the operating system, not instead of shutting it down. The monitor, a console on standby, speakers and lights, on the other hand, can safely be switched off straight from the socket.
What happens if the internet goes down?
As long as the router is on, the power strip and the bulbs can still be controlled on the local network and the remote keeps working with the power strip. Control from outside the home and voice commands resume when the connection is back.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more Shelly bulbs, LED strips or plugs can be added to the same app and the same scenes. Each new device can be assigned to the remote's buttons. For synchronised colour lighting or a second workstation, write to us from the contacts section.
Are batteries included?
The BLU RC Button 4 remote uses a CR2032 cell, normally already in the box as stated by the manufacturer. The power strip and the bulbs are mains-powered. The cell level is checked in the Shelly app.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
Write to us from the contact page quoting the kit code: we will point you to a compatible alternative, checked against the other devices just like the rest of the kit. Avoid swapping an item for a similar one without checking protocol, power supply and type of connection: a different model may not work with the rest of the kit.
