Sonoff smart up-and-over garage door kit, dry contact and door sensor
The dry-contact Sonoff MINI-D wires to the control unit of the motorised garage door and gives the open pulse from your phone. The SNZB-04P Zigbee contact on the door, with the ZB Bridge Pro hub, tells you whether the garage really is shut. All of it in the eWeLink app, with a notification if the door stays open.

What it does
- The MINI-D closes its dry contact for a moment on the control board's command input, just like the wall button.
- From the eWeLink app you open and close the garage door at home or away.
- The SNZB-04P Zigbee contact on the door reports whether it is open or closed, through the ZB Bridge Pro hub.
- If the main door is left open in the evening or after you have gone out, you get a notification on your phone.
- The MINI-D is Matter-compatible: you can also control it from Apple Home, Alexa or Google Home.
- You can add other Sonoff Zigbee sensors to the ZB Bridge Pro hub, a flood sensor in the garage for example.

How it is installed
Hub and network. The MINI-D joins the Wi-Fi, while the door contact is Zigbee and needs the ZB Bridge Pro hub. Put the hub somewhere with good Wi-Fi and close enough to the garage to pick up the contact's Zigbee signal: if the garage is far away or underground, put the hub in the garage itself, near a socket.
Module on the controller. The MINI-D's dry contact wires in parallel with the command button of the door's control board, on the step-by-step input named in the motor manual. The module runs at 230V as the manufacturer specifies. The 230V wiring is for a qualified electrician, with the supply isolated. The MINI-D does not replace the control board.
Accessories and wiring. The Wago 221-413 lever connectors are for joining the module's wires. If the MINI-D will not fit in the controller or behind the push-button, use a deep 503 back box or, as an alternative, the Gewiss junction box: both are optional and chosen according to the space available. The SNZB-04P contact is fixed with double-sided tape.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app add the hub, then the MINI-D over Wi-Fi and the SNZB-04P contact to the hub. Set the MINI-D output to pulse mode, with automatic switch-off after about a second, so it behaves like a push-button. Stick the contact on the door so that the magnet lines up only when the door is shut.
Recommended automations. Set up a notification if the contact reports the main door open for more than a few minutes, and an evening scene that warns you if it has been left open. If you want to open it by voice, add the MINI-D to Alexa or Google through eWeLink, ideally with a confirmation step, to avoid opening it by accident.
Contents verified. The SNZB-04P Zigbee contact pairs with the ZB Bridge Pro hub, and the MINI-D joins the Wi-Fi: everything is managed in the same eWeLink app. The kit includes Wago 221-413 connectors for wiring the module; deep 503 boxes and the Gewiss junction box are optional, for when the module will not fit behind the switch.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
For the door contact, yes: the SNZB-04P is Zigbee and connects to the ZB Bridge Pro hub, which is part of the kit. The MINI-D module, on the other hand, connects to the Wi-Fi and works without a hub. Both appear in the same eWeLink app.
Will it work with my garage door?
It works with motorised garage door controllers that have a volt-free command input, like the one for the wall button: almost all motorised up-and-over and sectional doors. It will not motorise a manual door. If in doubt, send us the motor model from the contact page.
Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple?
The MINI-D is Matter and adds to Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home. The door contact links to Alexa and Google through the eWeLink app and its skill. For opening by voice it is worth setting up a confirmation.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes: the MINI-D is wired into the door's control unit and supplied at 230V. Work on 230V must be carried out by qualified personnel, with the installation isolated. The hub and the door contact, on the other hand, you fit yourself.
What happens if there is no internet?
The door always opens with the original remote and with the wall push-button. Without internet, though, you cannot open from the app when you are away and you get no notifications; everything comes back when the line is restored.
Are batteries included?
The SNZB-04P contact runs on a coin cell: the type, and whether it is in the box, are stated on the product's Amazon listing. The charge level is checked in the eWeLink app. The MINI-D and the hub run off the mains.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more Sonoff Zigbee sensors can be added to the ZB Bridge Pro hub, flood or motion sensors in the garage for example, and more MINI-D modules for a second door or for the gate. Get in touch if you have several garages to cover.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
