What it does
- Each Shelly Plus RGBW PM has 4 channels: in white light mode it drives 4 separate LED lines, so 8 with the two modules.
- Each line switches on and off and dims from the app, in zone groups as well.
- The four-key BLU remote calls up the main lights: dinette, kitchen, sleeping area and everything off.
- Hold the button down and the brightness rises or falls, depending on how you set it up.
- The modules measure what each channel draws: you can see how much the lights cost the service battery.
- Scenes such as “night” or “entrance” bring up several lines together at the brightness chosen.

How it is installed
Wi-Fi on board. The app needs a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network in the vehicle: a 4G router, a fixed hotspot or your phone as a hotspot. The router is not included. The modules can also be set up the first time through their own access point, as the manufacturer describes. Decide beforehand which LED lines to assign to each channel.
RGBW PM modules. The two modules run at 12V off the service battery, through a dedicated fuse on the supply line, with the polarity respected. Each channel takes one run of white LED strip, within the per-channel current given by the manufacturer. Do the work with the system disconnected, and have it done by someone who knows the vehicle's electrics.
Accessories and wiring. The modules go in the IP65 weatherproof enclosure, fixed near the 12V panel, which protects them from water and vibration. The Wago lever connectors are for the positive and negative taps; the IP68 cable glands seal the cable entries. Clip the cables along the route with ties, so nothing chafes while you drive.
App and pairing. In the Shelly app you add the two modules, set the 4-channel white light mode and rename every channel after its zone, “Dinette”, “Kitchen”, “Bed” and “Entrance” for example. Then the four-key BLU remote is paired and each key assigned a circuit or a scene.
Recommended automations. One remote button for the entrance lights at low level, one for the kitchen at full light, one for the night scene and one to switch everything off. In the app you can build scenes with several circuits at different levels and, on the on-board network, automatic switch-off times so no lights are left on.
Contents verified. The two Shelly Plus RGBW PM units and the BLU RC Button 4 remote are all Shelly and work in the same app. Included: Wago lever connectors for wiring the modules, the IP65 weatherproof enclosure to keep the modules on board safe from water and vibration, and IP68 cable glands for watertight cable entry.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No. The modules use the on-board Wi-Fi and the BLU remote talks to them over Bluetooth. You do need a Wi-Fi network in the vehicle, from a 4G router or a hotspot, not included, to use the app.
Which LED strips can I connect?
White 12V LED strips, one per channel, within the per-channel current and the total power the manufacturer states. With 2 modules you have 8 channels. RGB and RGBW strips use the channels differently: get in touch through the contact page.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes, or a motorhome fitter: the modules wire into the vehicle's 12V system, with a dedicated fuse, the correct polarity and cables of the right cross-section. The connections must be made with the system disconnected.
What happens without internet?
The lights do not need internet: the BLU remote and the app on the on-board Wi-Fi work without a connection. Internet is only needed to control the lights from away, if there is a 4G router on board.
Is the remote battery included?
The BLU remote takes a CR2032 battery; what comes as standard is stated on the Amazon listing. The RGBW PM modules run off the motorhome battery and have no batteries of their own.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more modules for more circuits, Shelly relays for the pump and the water heater, BLU temperature and opening sensors, a 4G router for remote control. It all goes into the same Shelly app.
Can I keep my existing switches?
Yes, with the connections the manufacturer specifies for the module inputs, or by replacing them with the BLU remote. It is worth deciding in advance which controls to keep, to simplify the wiring and the number of cables to run to the enclosure.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
