What it does
- The three BLU H&T sensors among the benches read air temperature and humidity at different points in the greenhouse.
- The 7-in-1 weather station outside provides wind, rain, temperature and the rest of the local weather data.
- The two Shelly 2PM Gen3 units in roller-shutter mode drive two window motors: open, close and any position in between.
- With scenes the windows open when it gets too hot or too humid inside and close with strong wind or rain.
- The 6-zone controller runs the irrigation sectors with timed programmes and manual control from the app.
- The BLU gateway puts the Bluetooth sensors' data on the network, even where the Wi-Fi modules are far away.

How it is installed
Network and gateway. The greenhouse needs 2.4GHz Wi-Fi coverage, from the site router or a repeater. The BLU Gen3 gateway runs off one of the USB power supplies included and goes in a central, dry spot, away from water jets. Add it to the Shelly app first, so the Bluetooth sensors find their collection point straight away.
Window modules. Each Shelly 2PM Gen3 drives one window motor in roller shutter mode: the two up and down lines go to the two outputs, following the manufacturer's diagram. The modules go in the IP65 weatherproof box next to the greenhouse board. The 230V wiring must be done by a qualified person with the supply isolated, keeping to the motor's limit switches.
Accessories and wiring. The Wago lever connectors are for the live and neutral branches inside the enclosure; the IP68 glands seal the cable entry holes. The weather station is mounted on a pole outdoors, away from walls and trees. The irrigation controller is fixed close to the solenoid valves, which are not included, and powered as the manufacturer instructs.
App and pairing. In the Shelly app you add the two 2PM units, set roller-shutter mode and run the travel calibration on each window. Then the three BLU H&T sensors, the weather station and the controller are paired, following each maker's procedure. Rename everything by bay and position, so the scenes and the charts stay readable.
Recommended automations. The windows open part way above an indoor temperature and fully above a second threshold; they close on high outdoor humidity, rain or strong wind from the weather station. Irrigation programmes by zone in the early morning, paused after rain. A notification for temperatures outside the band rounds it off for when nobody is on site.
Contents verified. Gateway, relays and sensors are from the Shelly range and run in the same app; the weather station and the irrigation controller are the versions offered for the Shelly ecosystem. Included are the Wago lever connectors for wiring the modules, the IP65 enclosure to keep the modules safe in the greenhouse, the IP68 cable glands for watertight cable entry, three USB power supplies because no power supply comes in the boxes and, as an option, 10 spare CR2032 batteries for the three sensors.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Not a traditional hub: the Shelly modules use the greenhouse Wi-Fi, while the Bluetooth sensors go through the BLU Gen3 gateway included. So you need a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network covering the greenhouse, from the company router or from a repeater.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes, for the two Shelly 2PM units that drive the window motors: the 230V connections must be made by qualified personnel with the installation isolated. The sensors, the gateway and the weather station go up with no electrical work. The supply to the solenoid valves also follows the controller manufacturer's instructions.
Which windows can I motorise?
The ones with two-line motors, up and down, of the type used for roller shutters and greenhouse vents, with their own limit switches. Each 2PM Gen3 drives one motor. The motors, the gearing and the window racks are not included: they are the ones already on your greenhouse.
What happens if there is no internet?
If the local Wi-Fi stays up, the modules go on answering commands and the rules set on the device. Scenes created in the app and notifications off site need an internet connection. For the sake of the crop, the manual controls on the board are always available.
Are batteries included?
The three BLU H&T sensors take a CR2032 and the kit includes, as an option, a blister pack of 10 spare CR2032 cells. The weather station uses AA cells as backup: check on the Amazon listing whether they are in the box.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more 2PM units for more windows or for shading, more BLU sensors for more bays, relays for fans or heating. It all goes into the same Shelly app and the same scenes.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
The Shelly app links to Alexa and Google Home, so you can open the vents or read the temperature by voice. In a commercial greenhouse the automations are better kept in the Shelly app, where the thresholds and the weather station data are.
