What it does
- The LOQED Pure locks and unlocks the door from your phone: over Bluetooth at home, and through the home Wi-Fi when you are out.
- The battery is rechargeable: when the app reports a low charge, you charge it and put it back.
- The Shelly BLU Door/Window contact on the leaf reports whether the door is open or closed.
- The door state tells you whether the lock can throw, so you do not leave the door pushed to but not locked.
- The access log shows when the door was opened and by whom, depending on what the app provides.
- The mechanical key for the cylinder can always still be used.

How it is installed
Wi-Fi network. The lock joins the home Wi-Fi and talks to your phone over Bluetooth, with no hub. Before fitting it, check with your phone that the router signal is good by the front door: that is what lets you unlock from away and receive notifications. If it is weak, consider a repeater.
LOQED lock. Check that the door has a euro cylinder and that the sizes are within those the manufacturer states. Fit the lock to the inside face of the door following the instructions, then check that the mechanical key still works from outside. Charge the battery fully before first use.
Door contact. Stick the body of the Shelly BLU contact onto the leaf, high up on the inside face, and the magnet onto the fixed frame, lined up and close together with the door shut. It runs on a CR2032 button cell, as the product name says. Clean the surfaces before applying the tape.
App and pairing. Install the app the lock's manufacturer specifies and add the LOQED following the wizard over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Add the BLU contact to the Shelly app: BLU devices transmit over Bluetooth and, for remote use, need a compatible Shelly gateway nearby, as the manufacturer describes.
Recommended automations. Set a notification when the door is left open for a few minutes and one when the lock is opened while you are out. If the lock and contact integration allows it, have the lock engage only once the contact confirms the door is shut. Keep an eye on the battery charge in the app.
Contents verified. The LOQED Pure lock is part of the Powered by Shelly range and the Shelly BLU Door/Window contact works in the Shelly ecosystem over Bluetooth. The contact uses a CR2032 coin cell; the lock has a rechargeable battery, so no spare cells are needed.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
The lock does not: it joins the home Wi-Fi and talks to your phone over Bluetooth. The Shelly BLU contact transmits over Bluetooth and, to be read remotely, needs a compatible Shelly gateway nearby, as the manufacturer specifies: if you do not have one, get in touch and we will work out the solution.
Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple?
Which voice assistants and platforms work depends on what the manufacturer provides for the LOQED Pure and on the Shelly app for the BLU contact. See the product's Amazon listing for the current compatibility list.
Will the lock work on my door?
The LOQED Pure is built for doors with a euro cylinder, within the sizes the manufacturer states. Before buying, check the cylinder type, the door thickness and the space on the inside face. If in doubt, send us a photo through the contact page and we will check.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The lock runs on a rechargeable battery and the contact on a button cell: there is no electrical work. The level is advanced DIY because the lock has to be fitted carefully onto the cylinder, following the manufacturer's instructions.
What happens if there is no internet?
Close to the door the lock works from your phone over Bluetooth, and the mechanical key always works. Without internet, though, you cannot unlock from away and you get no notifications; everything resumes when the line is back.
Are batteries included?
The lock has a rechargeable battery, as the manufacturer states: no cells needed. The Shelly BLU contact uses a CR2032 coin cell; whether it is already in the box is stated on the product's Amazon listing.
Can I add devices?
Yes: in the Shelly app you can add more BLU contacts, buttons, relays for a gate or a door release, and sensors. A Shelly Gen3 relay can also act as the gateway for the BLU devices. Get in touch and we will tell you which combination to use.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
Get in touch through the contact page quoting the kit code and the product you cannot find: we will point you to an alternative that works with the LOQED lock and the Shelly app, so you keep a combination we have checked and you do not have to hunt for an equivalent model yourself.
