What it does
- The U200 unlocks with a code on the keypad, with a fingerprint, with the NFC cards or by holding an iPhone or an Apple Watch to it with Apple Home Key.
- The M100 hub connects the lock to the internet: from the app you lock and unlock even when you are out.
- The T1 door sensor reports whether the door is open or shut, so you know whether the lock really did close.
- The log in the app shows who came in and how, for each member of the family.
- The two extra NFC cards let anyone without a phone to hand, children or grandparents, get in by holding the card up.
- With Matter, the lock can also appear in Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home.

How it is installed
Hub and network. Plug the M100 hub into a USB power supply and into a socket indoors, not far from the front door, with good Wi-Fi coverage. It is the hub that puts the lock online for remote opening and notifications: the closer it is to the door, the steadier the link. Add it to the Aqara Home app before the lock.
U200 lock. Before you start, measure the thickness of the door and how far the cylinder projects and compare them with the manufacturer's figures. Take the cylinder out, fit the outer part with the keypad and reader and the inner part with the motor, following the instructions. Check that the mechanical key still turns freely: it is the fiddliest job in the kit.
Door sensor and cards. Stick the body of the T1 sensor onto the leaf, high up on the inside face, and the magnet onto the frame, lined up and close together with the door shut. The two NFC cards are used by holding them up to the lock's reader. The M100 hub comes with no power supply: you need a 5V USB one, and any you already have at home will do.
App and pairing. In the Aqara Home app add the lock and the door sensor to the M100 hub. Register the family's fingerprints and codes and pair the two NFC cards, naming each credential after its owner. On iPhone turn on Apple Home Key by adding the lock to the Home app. Test every method before handing out the cards.
Recommended automations. Turn on auto-locking a few seconds after the door closes, using the T1 sensor. Set a notification when the door is left open for more than a few minutes and one when a particular family member comes in. For guests or helpers, create temporary codes valid only at certain times.
Contents verified. The U200 lock and the T1 door sensor pair with the Aqara M100 hub, sold with the lock in this box, and are managed in the Aqara Home app. The two Aqara NFC cards are the ones intended for the U200, for anyone coming in without a phone.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
For remote opening, yes: the M100 hub, in the box with the lock, links the U200 to the internet and to the app even when you are out. At the door the lock still works with a code, a fingerprint, a card and Apple Home Key.
Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple?
Yes, through Matter the U200 can be added to Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home, with the functions each platform supports. Apple Home Key, to unlock by holding an iPhone or Apple Watch close, needs the Apple Home app.
Will the lock work on my door?
The kit's Aqara locks fit doors with a euro cylinder, within the thickness and protrusion the manufacturer gives. Before buying, measure the door and check the type of cylinder; if in doubt send us a photo through the contact page and we will check compatibility.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The lock runs on batteries and goes onto the door with ordinary tools, with no electrical work; the hub plugs into an ordinary socket. The level is advanced DIY because the cylinder has to be taken out and refitted carefully, following the manufacturer's instructions.
What happens if there is no internet?
The lock still opens at the door with a code, a fingerprint, an NFC card and the mechanical key. Without internet, though, you cannot unlock remotely and you get no notifications; the functions come back when the line is restored.
Are batteries included?
The lock runs on batteries: the type, the life and whether they are in the box are those the manufacturer gives on the product's Amazon listing. The Aqara Home app shows the charge level and warns in good time; with a flat battery the mechanical key is always there.
Can I add cards or devices?
Yes: further Aqara NFC cards are paired to the lock from the app, and you can add compatible Aqara sensors, cameras and buttons to the M100 hub. For a video door entry unit on the same door, get in touch through the contact page.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
