What it does
- The waterproof probe reads the temperature in the animals' area and sends it to the TH Elite relay.
- The TH Elite switches the fans on when the temperature goes above the threshold and off when it drops back below the reset value.
- The 20A relay switches the fans directly within its rating; for bigger loads it drives a contactor.
- The relay's display shows the current temperature, without even opening the app.
- The temperature history and the out-of-range notifications stay in the eWeLink app.
- At any time you can force the fans on or off from your phone.

How it is installed
Wi-Fi network. The TH Elite joins the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: the home or business network has to reach the barn, with a repeater or an outdoor access point if necessary. Before fitting anything, check with a phone that the signal is steady where the weatherproof enclosure will go.
The TH Elite relay. The relay is fixed inside the IP65 watertight enclosure, near the barn board. It is wired to the 230V supply and to the fan circuit following the manufacturer's diagram; if the fans draw more than the relay is rated for, the TH Elite drives a contactor coil instead. The connections must be made by qualified personnel with the supply isolated.
Probe and wiring. The WTS01 probe plugs into the TH Elite's dedicated socket and is run into the animals' area, at the height of their backs, away from the fan draught and out of the sun. The Wago connectors are for the line and neutral joints, the IP68 glands for bringing the probe lead and the mains cables into the sealed box.
App and pairing. The TH Elite is added to the eWeLink app with the setup wizard and you check that the temperature read by the probe is right. Rename the device, “Barn fans” for example, and try switching the fans on by hand from the app. Check too that the value on the relay's display matches the one in the app.
Recommended automations. Set the TH Elite to automatic threshold mode: on above the animals' comfort temperature and off a few degrees below, to avoid constant starts. Add a notification for very high temperatures, which call for someone to step in. In the cold months you can switch the rule off or raise the threshold from the app.
Contents verified. The TH Elite relay and the WTS01 probe are both Sonoff and designed to work together: the probe plugs straight into the relay. Included are the Wago connectors for the module's connections, the IP65 watertight enclosure to keep the relay clear of barn dust and damp, and the IP68 glands for watertight cable entries.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No. The TH Elite connects straight to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and is managed in the eWeLink app. All you need is for the network to reach the barn, with a repeater or an outdoor access point if necessary.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes. The relay runs on 230V and drives the fans or a contactor: the connections must be made by qualified personnel with the installation isolated, inside the weatherproof enclosure included and in keeping with the board's protective devices.
How many fans can I switch?
As many as fit within the relay's rating, stated by the manufacturer as 20A. For bigger fans, motors with a high starting surge or three-phase fans, the TH Elite drives the coil of a suitable contactor, which is not part of the kit.
What happens if there is no internet?
The manufacturer states that the automatic threshold control is held in the TH Elite, so it carries on even with the line down. Only notifications, live history and commands from outside are missing, and they resume when the connection comes back.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes, through the eWeLink app linked to Alexa or Google Assistant: you can switch the fans on or ask for the temperature by voice. The threshold control stays set in the relay, so voice commands are only for the odd switch-on and check.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more relays for other zones, humidity sensors, smart sockets or a Sonoff Zigbee hub for battery sensors. It is all run from the same eWeLink app and works in the same scenes as the relay.
Are batteries needed?
No: the relay is mains-powered and the probe is powered by the relay through its own cable. There are no batteries to replace and no charge levels to watch, and control stays active as long as there is power.
