What it does
- The Aqara U200 lock fits on the inside of the door and locks and unlocks the existing euro-cylinder lock, as the manufacturer specifies.
- The external keypad with fingerprint reader opens with a finger, a code or the NFC cards: four in the kit, one per member of staff.
- Every entry is logged with a name and a time in the Aqara Home app; an access can be revoked in moments if a member of staff leaves the practice.
- The Aqara G3 2K camera-hub with night vision covers the entrance, records to the microSD and warns you when it picks up movement.
- The three Aqara door/window sensors report internal doors or windows being opened, with a notification outside working hours.
- At closing time an automation locks the door and arms monitoring.

How it is installed
Aqara M3 hub. The M3 hub in the box goes in a central position in the office, connected to the router with the network cable, a sensible distance from the front door. It is the first device added to the Aqara Home app, and then the lock and the sensors pair with it. The G3 camera also connects to Wi-Fi and appears in the same app.
Lock and keypad. The U200 is fitted inside the door, on the existing lock with a euro cylinder, following the manufacturer's instructions; before buying, check the size and type of your door's cylinder. The fingerprint keypad is fixed outside, next to the door. Fitting takes care but no electrical work.
Cards, camera and sensors. The four NFC cards are registered from the keypad, one per member of staff. The G3 camera goes indoors, on a shelf or on the wall, facing the entrance, with the SanDisk High Endurance microSD fitted before you switch it on. The three door/window sensors are stuck on frame and leaf, with the magnet on the moving part.
App and users. In the Aqara Home app create a user for each member of staff and give them a fingerprint, a code or a card. Set access hours for each one if you need them, working days only for example. Share the app with whoever is to get the notifications and check that every entry shows in the log.
Recommended automations. When the door closes after 19:00: lock engaged and camera monitoring armed. A notification if a window or an internal door opens outside those hours. A low-battery notification for the lock a few weeks in advance. In the morning, on the first entry, monitoring disarmed.
Contents verified. The lock comes with the fingerprint keypad and the Aqara M3 hub in the box, and the three door/window sensors pair with the hub too; the NFC cards and the G3 camera-hub are Aqara and are managed in the same Aqara Home app. The kit holds the 64GB SanDisk High Endurance microSD, one per camera, suited to continuous recording.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes, and it comes in the box with the lock: the Aqara Hub M3. It coordinates the lock and the sensors and runs the automations locally. The G3 camera also works as a hub, but in this kit the M3 is the one in charge.
Will the lock fit my door?
The U200 fits doors with a euro cylinder: it is installed inside, over the existing lock, as the manufacturer advises. Before buying, check the cylinder type, the door thickness and whether there is a knob: if in doubt, send us a photo through the contact page.
Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple?
Yes. The Aqara M3 hub supports Matter and brings the devices connected to it into Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home; the Aqara Home app also links up through the Aqara skill for Alexa and through Google Home. With the lock, some functions, unlocking by voice for instance, may ask for a confirmation code.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The lock and the keypad are battery-powered, the camera and the hub plug into a socket. Fitting the lock does call for precision on the cylinder: that is why the level is advanced DIY. A locksmith can fit it instead.
What happens if there is no internet?
Fingerprint, codes and NFC cards still open the door, because they work locally between keypad, lock and hub. Without internet you get no notifications and cannot open remotely; the camera carries on recording to the microSD.
What if the lock's batteries go flat?
The app warns in advance when the charge drops. For emergency opening, follow the manufacturer's instructions, and keep a mechanical key for the cylinder somewhere safe. The battery type and what comes as standard are stated on the Amazon listing.
Can I add devices?
Yes. More Aqara sensors, more NFC cards, presence sensors or lighting modules can be added to the M3 hub; other Aqara cameras appear in the same app too. Get in touch through the contact page for the build.
