What it does
- The Sonoff CAM Outdoor Duo PTZ, outside, covers the entrance and the window display with two lenses and is aimed from the app.
- The two Sonoff Indoor Cam PT2 units pan and tilt: from a single position they cover most of the dining room.
- The Sonoff Slim Gen2 1080p, fixed, covers the till.
- Each camera records to a SanDisk High Endurance microSD, designed for continuous writing.
- When a camera detects movement you get a notification, and you can watch the footage back on your phone.
- Out of hours, the indoor cameras can be set to alert you only when the shop is closed.

How it is installed
Wi-Fi network. The cameras join the shop's Wi-Fi directly, with no hub. Before fixing them, check with your phone that the signal is good at the four positions chosen, outside above all. The router is not included; if the signal is weak, a repeater near the entrance is worth having.
Cameras. The outdoor camera goes above the entrance, at about three metres, sheltered from driving rain. The two PT2 units go high up in opposite corners of the dining room, on a shelf or on the wall; the Slim Gen2 points at the till without framing the card terminal display or the PIN pad.
Storage and power supply. Fit one of the four 64GB SanDisk High Endurance microSD cards in each camera before switching it on. The three 5V USB power supplies are for the indoor cameras that come without one. Hide the cables in trunking and bring the outdoor camera's lead inside through a sealed hole.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app add one camera at a time, following the pairing procedure, and give each a name: “entrance”, “left side of the room”, “right side of the room”, “till”. Format the microSD from the app, set up the recording and adjust the detection sensitivity for each area covered.
Recommended automations. Motion notifications only outside opening hours, from closing to opening. Continuous recording on the till camera during working hours. A preset position for the motorised cameras, which they return to after you have moved them by hand. Remember the CCTV notice at the entrance.
Contents verified. The four cameras are Sonoff units and are all managed from the eWeLink app, with no hub. The kit includes four 64GB SanDisk High Endurance microSD cards, one per camera, suited to continuous recording, and three 5V 2A USB power supplies for the cameras that come without one.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No. The four cameras connect straight to the shop Wi-Fi and each records to its own microSD. All you need is a router with good coverage at the installation points, including outside the entrance.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes, Sonoff cameras reach Alexa and Google Home through eWeLink: on a screen such as an Echo Show or a Nest Hub you can watch the live picture, if the model supports it. Recordings and alerts still come from the eWeLink app.
Can I fit cameras in the shop?
Yes, with some rules: the CCTV notice must be displayed and, if you have employees, the installation calls for a union agreement or authorisation from the labour inspectorate. The outdoor camera must not take in more public space than necessary. For the details speak to your own adviser.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The cameras plug into a socket, with their own power supply or the USB ones included, and fix with screws or sit on a shelf. For the outdoor camera you only need to route the power cable inside so that it is protected.
What happens if there is no internet?
The cameras carry on recording to microSD as long as the local Wi-Fi is up and there is power. Without internet you cannot watch live from away and you get no notifications; the footage stays on the card and can be reviewed when the connection comes back.
How long do the recordings on the microSD last?
It depends on the resolution and the mode you choose: with continuous recording the card fills up and starts again, overwriting the oldest footage; with motion only it lasts much longer. High Endurance cards are made for exactly this repeated writing.
Can I add cameras?
Yes, more Sonoff cameras can be added to the same eWeLink app, each with its own microSD. For large shops or ones with a lot of cameras get in touch through the contact page: we will look at a system with central recording.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
