8L 12V hot water tank, 30A / 400W element heating to 70°C.

  • Delivery in 10-20 days
  • 12V
  • 8L
  • 400W

Key features

  • Smooth continuous power, no pulsing
  • Sized for a 2000W inverter
  • 8-litre tank heaters and instant water heaters
  • 12V and 48V versions

How it works

Supermarket induction hobs work by pulsing: at half power they switch the load on and off, and on a battery system that means peaks that trip the inverter. Safiery hobs regulate power continuously, so the draw is steady and a 2000W inverter really is enough. The same goes for hot water: the 8-litre tank heater brings water to 70 °C drawing 400W at 12V (or 1,000W at 48V), and the instant heater is there when you want hot water straight away with no storage.
