Kostal PLENTICORE G3 L 15kW Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter HV 3 MPPT

The Kostal PLENTICORE G3 in size L can be put to work in three ways: as a plain solar inverter, as a hybrid inverter with a battery, or as a battery-only inverter. The storage input is released when it is needed, so an installation can start as solar only and gain a battery years later without changing the inverter — handy when the budget is split in two stages.

This version declares 15kW of rated power and belongs to size L, which the manufacturer places in the 15-20kW band; output can be raised later through the optional power upgrade. Three MPP trackers cover roof planes facing different ways, and the DC input currents are generous at 17A and 30A, which suits today’s larger modules.

With an external transfer device the inverter keeps the loads supplied when the grid is down (backup function). The Smart Communication Board brings display, data logger and monitoring as standard: two LAN ports, WLAN, four programmable digital outputs for load control or event signalling, SG Ready compatibility and Modbus/SunSpec TCP for smart home integration. Monitoring runs through the KOSTAL Solar Portal and the KOSTAL Solar app, while commissioning is guided from the display, a browser or the app. Type 2 DC surge protection is available as an accessory. Installation is work for qualified personnel.
