Victron Energy DC-DC Battery Charger 30A / 360W - DC-DC Battery Charger
Dimensions: 130 x 186 x 70 mm
Charging the house batteries using the engine's alternator has always been an operation that isn't without its obstacles.
The standard alternator, in fact, is equipped with an inexpensive and unsophisticated voltage regulator that simply regulates the alternator's voltage to around 14.4 Volt and does nothing else.
Bluetooth Smart enabled
You can use any smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device to monitor, change settings, or update the charger when new features become available.
Fully programmable
The absorption and float voltages are programmable, as is the absorption time.
100% compatible with "Smart" alternators (Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles) and perfect for charging LiFePO4 Lithium batteries
Battery charging algorithm (configurable), or constant-voltage output.
It can also be configured as a constant-voltage power supply (voltage stabilizer)
Smart alternator compatibility: engine-running detection mechanism.
Adaptive 3-stage charging algorithm: Bulk, absorption, and float.
In lead-acid batteries, it's important that the absorption time be short during shallow discharges, in order to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, however, the absorption time is automatically extended in order to fully charge the battery.
In lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed: 2 hours by default. Alternatively, you can choose a fixed output voltage.
Remote on/off
You can connect a remote on/off switch or a relay contact to the two-pole connector. Alternatively, terminal H (right) of the two-pole connector can be turned to the battery's positive terminal, or terminal L (left) of the two-pole connector can be turned to the battery's negative terminal (or to a vehicle's chassis, for example). All models are short-circuit protected and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current
An unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel.
Protected against high temperatures
The output current will decrease at high ambient temperatures.
IP43 protection
if installed with the screw terminals facing downward.
Screw terminals
No special tools are required for installation.
Input fuse (non-replaceable)
Also available for 24 Volt systems
