What it does
- The SenseGuard DW Gen2 contacts report doors and windows opening and also warn you if someone tries to pull them off or open them: that is the tamper function.
- The SNZB-03PR2 sensor picks up movement in the hallway or in whichever room you put it.
- With the alarm armed, an opening, movement or tampering sets off the SNZB-09P siren and sends a notification to the phone.
- The ZB Bridge Pro hub takes the Zigbee events and brings them into the eWeLink app, where you set the alarm scenes.
- You arm and disarm with one tap, on a timer or with a scene: armed overnight on the contacts only, for example, with motion left out.
- The event log shows which doors or windows were opened and when.

How it is installed
Hub and network. Connect the ZB Bridge Pro to a power supply with its USB cable and put it in a central spot, on a piece of furniture and not shut in a metal cabinet. It pairs with the eWeLink app on the house Wi-Fi and from then on acts as the Zigbee coordinator for all the sensors and the siren. Pair the hub before fitting the other devices.
Contacts and motion. Stick the body of each SenseGuard onto the moving leaf and the magnet onto the fixed frame, lined up and close together with the leaf shut: three points, for example the front door, the French door and the most accessible window. The motion sensor goes in a high corner of the hallway or the living room, facing the route people take and not windows, radiators or pets.
Siren and power supply. Put the siren somewhere central in the house, in the hallway for instance, where it carries well into every room, and power it as the manufacturer directs. The contacts take AAA batteries, as the product name says. Keep the hub on a socket that is always live, not one controlled by a switch.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app add the hub, then put the contacts, the motion sensor and the siren into pairing mode one at a time next to the hub, and only then move them to their final positions. Name each after where it sits. Check the events reach the app by opening every door and walking past the sensor.
Recommended automations. Set up an "Away alarm" scene: with the alarm armed, an opening, movement or tampering sounds the siren and sends a notification. Set up a "Night" scene in which only the contacts count, so you can move around the house without setting anything off. Also set a tamper alert that stays live even with the alarm disarmed.
Contents verified. SenseGuard DW Gen2 contacts, the SNZB-03PR2 motion sensor and the SNZB-09P siren are Sonoff Zigbee devices that pair with the ZB Bridge Pro and are all managed in the eWeLink app. There are no extra accessories: the sensors run on batteries and stick on with the double-sided tape supplied.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes: the kit's devices are Zigbee and need a coordinator, the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro, which is included. The hub links them to the eWeLink app and to the home Wi-Fi. You can add further compatible Sonoff Zigbee sensors to the same hub.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Sonoff devices connect to Alexa and Google Home through the hub and the eWeLink app, with the eWeLink skill or action. Sensor states and scenes become available in the assistants as far as the manufacturer allows. To arm and disarm the alarm, use the eWeLink app anyway.
What does the tamper function do?
The SenseGuard DW Gen2 contacts tell the hub if someone tries to pull them off or open them, as well as reporting the door or window opening. With a scene set up for it, tampering sounds the siren or sends a notification even when the alarm is disarmed.
Is it a certified alarm system?
No: it is a DIY home automation alarm, useful for getting alerts and putting an intruder off, but it does not replace a certified control panel linked to a monitoring company. If you need it for insurance, check the requirements with your insurer.
What happens if there is no internet?
The ZB Bridge Pro hub supports local scenes: set as local, the automations between sensors and siren keep working even without internet, as the manufacturer states. Without a connection, though, you get no notifications and you cannot arm or disarm from outside the house.
Are batteries included?
The SenseGuard contacts use AAA cells and the motion sensor has its own battery: whether they come in the box is stated on each product's listing on Amazon. The charge level is checked in the eWeLink app, which warns you when it is low.
Can I add devices?
Yes, more Sonoff Zigbee contacts, motion sensors, flood and smoke detectors, buttons and relays can be added to the ZB Bridge Pro, up to the number the manufacturer states. For a large house or one on several floors get in touch: we will see whether a Zigbee repeater is needed.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
