WeCo 5K3 HV BOX EVO H00089 High Voltage Control Unit with Base and 5 m Cable Kit
The WeCo 5K3 HV BOX EVO (Keno code H00089) is the high voltage control unit required to make the 5K3 EVO modules work in HV configuration: it manages the series connection of the modules, the protections, the pre-charge and the communication interface towards the high voltage inverter. Without the HV BOX, the 5K3 EVO modules can only operate at low voltage at 48 V.
The supply of this item includes the 5K3 EVO HV base on which the tower rests and a set of 5 metre cables for the connection to the inverter. The HV BOX starts from a minimum voltage of 80 Vdc and goes up to 1,000 Vdc; it allows from 2 to 17 modules per cluster to be connected in series and up to 10 clusters to be connected in parallel. Communication with the inverter takes place over a CAN bus. The protection rating declared by Keno for the HV BOX is IP65, while the modules in HV configuration are IP66.
