What it does
- The two Shelly Plug sockets with an Italian plug switch a fan heater, a floor lamp or the coffee machine on and off, on a schedule or from the app.
- The two Shelly Duo E27 bulbs screw into the existing lampholders: you set the brightness and the shade of white, from warm to cool.
- The two Shelly BLU contacts on the front door and a window report every opening while you are out.
- The Shelly H&T Gen3 sensor measures temperature and humidity: you can tell whether the house is too damp or the heating is not keeping up.
- The Sonoff PT2 camera pans and tilts from the app: see the house from away and record to microSD.

How it is installed
Wi-Fi network. No hub is needed: the plugs, the bulbs, the H&T sensor and the camera connect straight to the home Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz. The Shelly BLU contacts talk over Bluetooth to a mains-powered Shelly device acting as gateway, as the manufacturer describes: usually one of the plugs, kept in the same area as the contacts.
Sockets and bulbs. The Shelly Plug sockets go straight into the Italian wall outlets, with no extension block in between, and take the appliance's plug. The Duo bulbs screw in where the existing ones are, in E27 chandeliers or floor lamps. Leave the lamp's switch on: the light is controlled from the app.
Sensors, camera and batteries. The BLU contacts go on with double-sided tape: body on the frame, magnet on the opening leaf. The H&T Gen3 sensor goes on a wall or a shelf, away from radiators and windows, with the Energizer Lithium AA cells included in the kit. The camera goes on a high shelf with the High Endurance microSD fitted. The tape comes off when you move out.
App and pairing. Install the Shelly app and add the sockets, the bulbs and the H&T sensor with the Wi-Fi wizard; then add the BLU contacts as Bluetooth devices, pairing them with the socket that acts as gateway. The Sonoff camera is added in the eWeLink app. Link both apps to Alexa or Google if you want voice control.
Recommended automations. Lights on at sunset and off at midnight. A door or window left open while you are out: a notification. Humidity high for hours: a notification to air the place. Heater socket switched off after a set maximum time. On your return, a light on in a warm tone. When you are away for a while, check on the camera that all is well.
Contents verified. The sockets, the bulbs and the H&T sensor are Shelly and are run from the same Shelly app; the BLU contacts come in through the Bluetooth gateway of a mains-powered Shelly device, so no hub is needed. The Sonoff camera works over Wi-Fi in the eWeLink app. Included are a High Endurance microSD for the camera recordings and Energizer Lithium AA batteries for the H&T Gen3 sensor, which does not come with them.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No. The plugs, the bulbs, the H&T sensor and the camera connect straight to the Wi-Fi. The BLU contacts use Bluetooth and go through a mains-powered Shelly device acting as gateway, as the manufacturer describes: keep it a sensible distance from the contacts.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes: the Shelly devices connect to Alexa and Google Home through the Shelly integration, the Sonoff camera through the eWeLink integration. You link the two accounts in the voice app and then control sockets and lights by voice, or view the camera on compatible screens.
Do you need an electrician?
No, and that is the whole point of the kit: plug-in sockets, screw-in bulbs, sensors on double-sided tape and a camera that just sits on a surface. No holes and no wiring to alter, so nothing to ask the landlord. When you move you unplug it all and set it up again in the new place.
Will the sockets fit the outlets at home?
Yes: the kit's Shelly Plug sockets have the Italian type L plug, the one that fits the standard sockets in Italian homes. They go straight into the wall socket, not into an extension block, and are used with appliances within the rating the manufacturer states.
What happens if there is no internet?
The sockets and the bulbs stay controllable locally and the schedules saved on the Shelly devices keep running. Without internet you get no notifications and you cannot control anything or view the camera from outside the house. When the line comes back everything picks up on its own.
Are batteries included?
Yes: for the H&T Gen3 sensor the kit includes the Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA cells, which are not in its own box. The BLU contacts use a CR2032 button cell, supplied as the manufacturer states. The charge level shows in the Shelly app.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more sockets, bulbs, BLU sensors or a flood sensor. Every Shelly device goes into the same app and the same scenes, and if you move house you only need to update the Wi-Fi in the new place.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
